A little about me.
Originally from California, I moved to small town Texas as a child. I have been in Austin since 1998, minus a few years living in Tennessee and Georgia. I am married and have a beautiful, daughter and step-daughter. I enjoy woodcarving, fly fishing, camping, and Texas and local history.
I believe in living an intentional life, mindful of actions and thoughts. While we are faced with incredible challenges and daunting realities today, the world is an amazing place filled with fascinating people. I value one-on-one connections with passionate people with whom I can learn and share. My ideal self has always been to be “that guy that knows a guy.” Whether it is a mechanic, someone that knows a certain dead language, or someone with the power and authority to right certain wrongs, I want people to be able to come to me to hear, “Oh yeah, I know a guy,” or a woman, or any amazing individual that enjoys helping those who need it. Better still, I would be that guy who is the guy as often as possible.
I’ve been on a creative streak recently with some writing, teaching myself to sew, and learning photography. Especially Astrophotography.
